Media Spend: Last year Universal spent over £8.1 million on media primarily across radio, TV and outdoor, with some devoted to press, cinema and digital. Peak spending occurs in Q3-Q4 and early this year saw similar spending.

He was made international marketing director in 2011 and further led global breakthroughs (Ellie Goulding, Bastille, Florence + The Machine, Mumford & Sons and Years and Years). His specialties include market leadership, strategy, international and creative marketing.

Digital Breakdown: Moat reports that Universal ran 5 display ads on 12 publishers last year, with 42% mobile. Top ad destinations included,, and (68% placed site direct versus programmatically). The company also ran one high impact ad. For comparison, 9 display ads were run on 14 publishers in 2014, with only 7% mobile. Arts and entertainment is the top publishing category.
