Campaign Imminent: English Heritage shifts digital agencies after low ROI investments

more than a year after hiring former Vodafone marketer Suzie Rook as head of brand.

Sellers - this is the perfect time to reach out ahead of H2, when the majority of its annual budget is spent. Look for digital, outdoor and radio revenue.

Note that despite an increase in digital budget last year, impressions cut in half going from 6.6m in 2015 to just 3.9m last year. Normally this sort if change has to do with a change in spending strategy, mostly increasing the amount of programmatic buying that is done. However, this time not much changed, not even the indirect partners - both being Google.

This is likely why the brand shifted digital agencies, so look for an increase in spend once more. But be sure that you can prove high-ROI as the agency will be under pressure to show drastic changes soon. Carat Leeds handles media planning and buying.

Media Spend: Spent £730k during the first half of 2016, mainly on press, door drops and direct mail. Outdoor and radio were supporting channels. Throughout 2015, English Heritage spent over a million pounds with 3/4ths of it during the second half of the year.

Now its focus is on forming solid partnerships and sponsorship agreements, promoting its membership growth and continuing to invest in its marketing capability.
