Predicted! Net-a-Porter's Mr Porter brand appoints ODD ad agency as first ever AOR

Predicted Opportunity: One of Net-a-Porter’s boy brands (OK, men’s) MrPorter.com has delivered on Net-a-Porter’s vulnerability status and appointed creative agency ODD, following a competitive pitch.
At a score of 63%, we said to look for agency changes for Net-a-Porter and/or its brands nine-to-12 months from June (so, March-June 2016). This came a bit early, but this is still a prediction and right on target!
This first-ever retained agency by Mr Porter will work to develop an integrated global campaign spanning press, out of home, online and social that will launch in February. This is a big jump from their previous use of an in-house team and relationship on a project-basis with agencies Wednesday and Us.
Mr. Jeremy Langmead, the global brand and content director at Mr Porter explained that 2016 is an important year for the brand as it is their fifth anniversary, and they hope to extend their reach into “established and new markets”.
This could be the first of many changes to come for Net-a-Porter now that they belong to Yoox and are under a brand new president. Consider reaching out to the broader cmopany for opportunities as well, since they are very apparently open to changes. Agencies specialising in digital, eCommerce, retail and mobile in particular may have a significant advantage, especially those who have worked with global companies.
We'll keep you apprised of further decision maker shifts at the company, as Ms. Loehnis may possibly appoint a new marketing VP since she clearly realises the importance of that role, having previously held the position.
