House of Fraser

Decision Maker: On its last sprint as a VAI, House of Fraser, has lost its CEO. After less than two years at the helm, Nigel Oddy is leaving the retailer after a replacement is found by Q1. His departure follows a series of exits at the retailer in which we've covered throughout the year.

Shop Direct

Decision Maker: The vulnerable account hired former Sainsbury's digital and technology director Jon Rudoe as its new retail and technology director and member of the executive board from April 2017.

Reporting to CEO Alex Baldock, Rudoe will combine retail and IT for the first time, so agencies that can help him with personalised customer experience and digital efficiencies should begin reaching out now and again in April. He's also responsible for ecommerce, marketing, trading, commercial, business development, Very Exclusive and IT.

Decision Maker: Hired Jennifer Jackson as head of commercial marketing, so look for changes in strategy to the commercial property business. Leaders in the luxury property sector, KF typically runs OOH and press ads but as recently ramped up digital.

Decision Maker: Looking to hire a global CMO to drive growth and develop strategies "across multiple digital channels and international sites," according to a job post. The hire is on the heels of rebranding from ThinkForex and launching ThinkTrader, its won multi-asset trading platform, this summer. Around this time, the company lost its head of digital marketing James McMaster, who led the rebranding efforts.

Decision Maker: Appointed Caroline Parot as CEO, effective immediately, to succeed Philippe Germond.


Decision Maker: The vulnerable account has hired former KPMG and Aviva strategist Joanne Seager as head of marketing transformation and governance this month. She joined a few months after Andy Manson, head of commercial marketing and transformation.

Countryside Life

Decision Maker: With plans to launch the full platform in the UK in early 2017, Countryside Life has formed its team with a new CMO and head of operations. Former Adecco marketer Selma Studer joined in October to head operations. This month, the startup brought on former Microsoft global marketer Matt Gayleard to head up marketing.


Decision Maker: Hired former brand and partnership director Ed Hughes as marketing director. 



Decision Maker: Appointed Tom Bage as the head of communications and marketing. After just launching in 2013, bio-bean has already won a series of awards, as well as support from the Shell Foundation to expand into Europe and the US. Bage will lead the team as the emerging company gears up for its first big marketing push.

Decision Maker: On the hunt for a new marketing director to manage the budget, implement marketing activity and drive profitable sales. This person will work across trade marketing, sales conferences, social media platforms and digital outlets, according to a job post.

Decision Maker: Appointed Paul Coppin as marketing director after Amanda Royston left for Pizza Express. The burger chain should benefit from Coppin's veteran marketing experience and media channel knowledge in ATL, digital, events, in-store and outlet.

Rolls-Royce Group

Decision Maker: Appointed former CEO of Digital Catapult, Neil Crockett, as chief digital officer. Desktop ad spending spiked earlier this year and the company could be gearing up for another Q1 digital push for 2017, so don't take this hire lightly.

Decision Maker: Appointed Abi Hayhoe to head of PR and marketing, replacing Sarah Monti who held the position for over a year. Hayhoe has experience developing a variety of brands, including fashion legend LVMH, and is sure to spark 2017 changes.
