H2 Digital Opps: The Body Shop plans digital paid media campaigns

Opportunity: Digital sellers, alert! The Body Shop is looking to create "robust digital media strategies" to grow its customer audiences, according to a job post for a digital paid media manager to join its in-house creative team. This person will spearhead global digital paid media campaigns, in collaboration with The Body Shop's digital agency iCrossing, to drive store footfall and online traffic. 

Note that The Body Shop recently lost its global senior activation manager Jocelyn Bynoe to Wagamama

Last year the natural beauty brand spent £653k on digital channels, according to Maxus handles media planning and buying.

Media Spend: Spent £3.1m in 2015 with £2.3m during the second half of the year. The Body Shop spent £952k during the first half of last year, largely in direct mail.

Digital Breakdown: Last year's monthly spend saw peaks in Q1 and during the second half of the year.

Of total monthly spend, 73% was on desktop and 24% on video, but desktop saw 93% of impressions. 

Total impressions last year were 174m, up from just £22.6m in 2015.
