Opportunity: GBT is going right VAI as it welcomes Doug Anderson as CEO on the heels of former CMO Cindy Allen leaving after only five months in the role. GBT has ramped up its customer-centric strategy increased investments in technology recently. 

American Express Company impressions reached 1.4X their 30 day average last month, according to Pathmatics, so digital spend is trending upwards. The company spends the most in H2, so be sure you're trying to win business and stay top of mind in Q1 when the company enters strategic planning.

Media Spend: According to Nielsen, American Express Company spent nearly £20m in measured media last year. Q4 saw the most spending with outdoor, TV and digital taking the majority. 

Digital Breakdown: Year-to-date, American Express Company has spent £2.9m on 304 desktop ads, which have generated 975m impressions, according to Pathmatics. Of those, 66% ran using an ad network and only four per cent saw site-direct activity. ebay.co.uk, gumtree.com and wikia.com were the top sites.

As for mobile and tablets, the company spent £307k on 194 creatives, which generated 89m impressions. On video, the company spent £168k on 13 unique creatives, which saw 15m impressions. The majority of video ads ran using a DSP with top sites including msn.com, myfitnesspal.com and news.yahoo.com.
