Awareness Campaign Imminent: Sharp's Brewery taps Eulogy

Brand: Sharp's Brewery, subsidiary of Molson Coors, is the largest Brewer of cask conditioned beer in the South West UK and owner of growing beer brand, Doom Bar.
Opportunity: Appointed Eulogy for consumer brief to build brand awareness for its product portfolio. The PR agency will develop Sharp's Adventure Brewing campaign, launched last year, to include supporting live events and product promoting as various launches are in the works for 2016.
Eulogy has previously worked with other Molson Coors brands and is now looking to bring the Sharp's portfolio to life. The Adventure Brewing campaign was developed after research found that 61 per cent of Brits would be more adventurous if they could go back and relive the last 10 years. This year, the brand will continue to build on this nostalgia, while attempting to pull in new millennial consumers.
As Eulogy promotes brand awareness, integrated and digital sellers should reach out now ahead of product launches. In 2015, Sharp's produced 18 per cent more beer than in 2014 and with demand increasing, the brand is showing no signs of stopping. The brewery's first permanent keg beer, Wolf Rock Red IPA, is one of the dynamic new options hitting the market this year.

Target Audience: While Mintel research shows a recent surge in Millennials craft beer drinkers, over a third (36%) are unsure what the term ‘craft beer' actually means. At the same time, 18-24 year-olds are drinking less than other age groups, thus generating a marketing challenge. However, 31% of the drinkers say they'd like to know more about beer (ingredients, serving suggestions and quality).
