Opportunity: After three and a half years working with incumbent Creature, the beer brand is reviewing its creative account. With the standard review, Creature will have the opportunity to re-pitch for the account. 

Carling is looking to maximise the value of its partnerships, which include the Sky and Universal.

The review is expected to conclude early next year and takes place as parent company Zenith holds the account for now. 

Meanwhile, digital saw a drastic drop this year and could need outside support to fully strategise. Digital agencies should contact immediately. This is not one to miss; so drink up!

Media Spend: In 2015, Carling spent over £12m on multi-media with outdoor and TV nabbing the most, while press and radio covered the rest. Q2-Q3 is the peak spending period. 

Digital Breakdown: Per Pathmatics, since January, Carling has spent £41k on video ads that gained 3.6m impressions. Almost all were placed programmatically through DSP (65%) and ad network (32%). Top publishing sites include msn.com, aol.com, mtv.co.uk and express.co.uk. Meanwhile, £4.6k was spent on desktop adverts which collected 2.3m impressions.

This is a clear decrease from year-to-date 2015, when £154k was spent on desktop ads to nab almost 11m impressions. The company also spent £30k on video to generate 3.2m impressions.
