Decision Makers Round Up, featuring Marsh & Parsons, Tagetik, Lost My Name and Evergreen UK

Marsh & Parsons

Decision Maker: Temporarily (for at least 3-6 months), the marketing department is under the leadership of i2 Office marketing director Marcus Flacks, who's been on maternity cover since August. This follows former 17-year CEO Peter Rollings stepping down to more of a "brand ambassador" role and David Brown filling in. Agencies could have a few new ways in. 



Decision Maker: Hired customer-centric financial marketer Dave McGovern as head of marketing to lead the marketing, sales, PR and client development teams. This follows the appointment of Mitesh Sheth as CEO in April and a series of investments in its marketing. 



Decision Maker: Under Tagetik's first CMO Dave Kasabian, hired in December 2014, Kevin Moore joins as sales and marketing director in the UK after leading the sales team at Verint for the last nearly six years. 

Last month, Nick Nesbitt was promoted to MD of the UK and Ireland.

Lost My Name

Decision Makers: Appointed Anne Thouas to head awareness marketing efforts, encompassing above-the-line and paid social channels in the US and UK. She'll spearhead a customer acquisition and marketing campaign strategy over the next few months, so agencies would do well to be in touch if not already. 

Her promotion comes 10 months after Shira Feuer joined as VP of marketing, tasked with heading global paid, owned and earned media marketing. The company also hired Director of Performance Marketing Jorrit Bouma and Senior Online Marketing Manager, Growth Christian van Oostrum in the last few months. Agencies would do well to be speedy in their approach.

Castle Trust

Decision Maker: Hired Alex Hammond as head of marketing for the mortgages division after bolstering the marketing team last year.


Lotus Bakeries

Decision Maker: Promoted Mark Staniforth from UK retail sales controller to UK sales and marketing director. Following 2015 acquisitions, 10-year veteran incumbent Paul Hunter was instated as managing director for Urban Fresh Foods and leadership changes rippled down.

Decision Maker: So far this year, Nestle-subsidiary has appointed Matt Barnett to head of eCommerce for the UK and Ireland.

Theatre Royal Stratford East

Decision Maker: Appointed Hugh Gledhill as head of marketing shortly after bringing on Marketing Manager Katie Walker. Together they will launch Q4 campaigns and develop the overarching strategy for 2017.

Decision Maker: Appointed Anna Murray to head of marketing. Reporting to CCO Sarah Howe, she'll deliver marketing campaigns for brand development. Saffron prefers customer-driven marketing built around digital and PR.

Bolton Wanderers Football Club

Decision Maker: Appointed Paul Holliday to head of marketing and communications. He has a strong history with the company, previously working as media and PR manager, and will be responsible for managing partnerships along with engaging fans with content-driven campaigns.

Decision Maker: Promoted Laurie Glover from digital marketing manager to head of marketing. Digital became more of a priority after veteran Marketing Director Joanna Thompson was brought in a year ago.

Decision Maker: Will soon welcome former United Utilities marketer Sarah Lax as head of marketing.. She will lead B2B campaigns targeting individuals and organisations that intentionally create positive social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.

Flip Out | Trampoline Arena

Decision Maker: Brought on Emma Wennington as head of marketing. Flip Out has locations across the UK and is set to open new ones in Chatham, Preston and Birmingham.

Decision Maker: Appointed Henry Dummer to group marketing director, joining at the end of November, to handle marketing for consumer, small business and large business segments.

Decision Maker: Appointed Kate Nightingale as head of marketing and communications ahead of peak Christmas spending. This comes just a few months after Ciara Devlin was promoted to 50th Anniversary programme director as 2017 marks the milestone.

It luggage

Decision Maker: Hired former Burton's Biscuit international marketer Matthew Graves as global marketing director. Currently supplying luggage to +40 countries, It luggage will want to have a highly-integrated strategy to reach the widest range of travellers.

DFS Trading

Decision Maker: After losing its CMO earlier this year, the retailer has hired Toni Wood to fill in. She hails from Costa Coffee where she added global brand and digital director to her 25 years of experience. DFS also recently brought on Nicola Bancroft as CFO. The company is clearly evaluating its needs ahead of 2017 changes and marketing attention is on the list.

Tangerine Confectionery

Decision Maker: Promoted Russell Tanner to marketing and category director, after joining as head of category earlier this year. This title bump comes after the vulnerable confectionery brand appointed former United Biscuits boss as CEO. The account is moving along quickly and we are approaching Tangerine's prime spending periods -- seasonal festivities such as Christmas, Halloween, BBQ, festival and Valentine's.

Decision Maker: Shortly after Erica Collins was promoted from operations director to CEO, she appointed Emma Marsh to head of marketing. The company has also recently ramped up digital to appeal to their core female audience.

Decision Maker: Looks like the retailer returns to the  CMO Peter Gould last July. This time, Simon Lee will replace outgoing eight-year marketing director Lee Pinnington. Matalan recently opened its first Homestore which sells furniture and homeware products that were previously only sold online via Matalan Direct.
