Female-Engagement: Foxy Bingo taps ActiveWin for digital boost and Home for media
Foxy Bingo, brand of gaming giant Home was also brought on to handle their £5m media planning and buying account.
The Duke for Foxy Bingo.
The idea is to focus on customer engagement. The digital agency will work with Duke to promote the brand across the UK using a network of 30k affiliate partners. This is simply a reminder for digital sellers looking to target women to get in-touch for last minute mid-year opportunities.
The following information was originally published Jan.
Market Insight: At the end of 2016, the UK online gambling industry was facing inquiries into any unfair practices, so the gaming company should spark marketing to deflect from the negative attention. It's important to note, last Q2 GVC performed strong, with net gaming revenue per day up by 11% year-on-year to £2.16 million and the momentum continued into Q4.
Digital Breakdown: Per Pathmatics, last year, Bwin spent over £302k on desktop ads that gained 16 million impressions with a site direct strategy. Top publishers included livetv.sx, bookiesmash.com and thebestbookies.com. This is a drastic drop compared to 2015, when over £2.4m was spent to generate 98m impressions.
Also, last year, PartyPoker spent £15k on video ads to nab 1.2m impressions. Again, a site direct placement strategy was preferred.
Target Market: Typically Gen X, Y, and millennial men, though bingo pulls in women.
Competitors: Include Betsafe debuted campaigns in last year's Q2-3.
