Digital, Sponsorship Opps: Harrogate Water looks to Keep Britain Tidy with new partnership


 

Harrogate Water Brands, owner of Harrogate Spring Water and Thirsty Planet, has partnered with Keep Britain Tidy to promote the recycling of plastic bottles. The water brand is the main sponsor of their 'Great British Spring Clean' campaign and Keep Britain has launched their redesigned 'Tidyman' logo. We could see additional sponsorship and cause marketing from Harrogate throughout the year.

Water brands often promote ahead of spring/summer outdoor months when people are more active and thus, consume more water. Just last June, Harrogate made its biggest ever investment in summer sports sponsorship, featuring deals with Le Mans 24, World Triathlon, Yorkshire County Cricket Club and England Cricket. There's still time to secure last minute summer sponsorship wins, sellers!

Pathmatics has yet to show digital data for the water brands, but it's only a matter of time if they hope to pull in millennials and families. Digital sellers should drink up immediately.

Sponsorship has traditionally been a significant pillar in their marketing strategy and expansion will only increase this attention. Last year, the company spent £8 million to expand its production facility and grow its capacity. Advertising should crank up this year to support this recent business development.
