Digital Opps: Western Union taps PR after media shift, creative next?

Company: Western Union is a well-known financial services firm, which provides bill payment and money transfer services all over the world. In 2015, Western Union reported revenue of £4.5bn.

Sellers should swoop in immediately as Western Union spends consistently throughout H1 and plans for Q4 peaks as well. Media Spend: In H1 2016, Western Union spent over one million pounds on outdoor, while some went towards internet and radio for a total spend of £1.4m. 

Digital Breakdown: Last year, Pathmatics reports that Western Union spent £669k, split between desktop and video ads, that collected 88m impressions. Of those, 74% were placed site direct (the chart to the right details the rest) and top sites included,, and During this time, £148k was spent on mobile and tablet adverts that gained 15.8m impressions.

This is a decrease from 2015, when £2.6m was spent on desktop ads alone, which generated 434m impressions. £253k was also spent on video to gain 15.6m impressions.
