Digital, TV Opps: Kellogg's launches branded campaigns, video emphasis to continue?

Company: Kellogg's is a multinational food manufacturing company.

Opportunity: The LPK. Agency readers should have had a chance to win these opportunities in the last three months. If not, there's likely more opportunity before Q2 and Q3 campaigns. 

Sellers should approach last December. It's clear the company is prepping for a mid-year push so anticipate a spike in digital, as well.

Kellogg's targets kids, mums and teens so summer snacking and cookout season are key. Pathmatics reports consistent video and desktop spending over the last two years with peaks occurring in Q2-3.

The company has a vast brand portfolio so creative agencies should still eat up the opportunities that form around individual product pushes. As Kellogg's plans for H2, particularly focus on their brands of oatmeal that are sure to see boosts as it gets colder.

Media Spend: Throughout H1 2016, Kellogg's spent over £7m on mixed-media. The majority went towards TV (£6.7m) and the rest was spent on outdoor, digital and press. Interestingly, digital spending more than doubled to £76k, compared to 2015.
