Review Imminent – Score 87: Benugo taps PR after bolstering marketing, commercial team
Company: Benugo, a British hospitality company operating on High Street, inside museums and in other public spaces.
Opportunity: Following several marketing hires, the cafe chain has appointed Fleet Street Communications as PR AOR. Agencies are encouraged to reach out to in-house marketers while Benugo is open to approaches.
Expect an uptake in marketing efforts altogether, an area Benugo has yet to really master despite its place in the global food takeaway market, which Brits are estimated to contribute £8bn a year in. Keep in mind that October, November and December are the busiest months for business within the hospitality market, particularly when we're talking about restaurants. The Public Spaces arm may also have a larger summer marketing push to attract tourists.
Currently, Benugo delivers to all areas of Central London with a minimum order of £30. Millennial focused sellers and agencies will have an advantage with Benugo's focus on sustainability, organic foods and fresh ingredients.
Executive Shifts: Hired Sophie McCready to head up marketing for restaurants and public spaces and Rory McEntee to head up marketing for retail in January. In March, Jody Lucatello, former manager at Absolute Taste, joined as operations director. The same month saw Tim Axe join as commercial director. He was previously bizdev director for BaxterStorey.
Target Audience: Millennials, under 35s.
