This comes on the heels of a total marketing restructure earlier last year as part of plans to to bring in 42 million international visitors by 2020.
This January, the tourism body welcomed Clare Mullin as marketing director, so further agency shifts could occur later down the line. Digital Breakdown: Visit Britain spent £96k on digital channels last year, according to Pathmatics. This was up significantly from just £9k spent the year before. Most activity took place before April on desktop, while 97% of spend share was site-direct. Top destinations were telegraph.co.uk, answers.com, hotels.com and standard.co.uk.
