VisitEngland digital and brand marketer Alison Lewis-Jones as its own head of brand marketing. She succeeds Caroline Pay, who left to join Newmarket Holidays late last year. 

The travel agency tapped Antidote handled creative in early 2016.

While it may be too late to be part of the 2017 campaign, agencies should approach in Q2 and Q3, when planning for Q1 2018 will begin. Sellers may have a little bit of revenue left for the year if you're quick, noting a digital rise in Q3 last year. Otherwise, do as we suggested to agencies to be part of revenue planning.

Media Spend: Known to spend on TV, radio, digital and social media. 

Experience: She spent the last 5+ years as head of digital and brand marketing at VisitEngland, responsible for all domestic England and UK b2C marketing campaigns. She led digital and direct marketing efforts during this time, driving digital acquisition and retention. PRior to that, she was campaign marketing manager for VisitBritain after some time at St Lukes. 

Digital Breakdown: Spent nearly £1m on digital channels last year, up from £118k recorded in 2015, according to Pathmatics. The jump in spend last year came with a boost in desktop advertisements going out between May and August. Nearly all (98%) spend was direct, with just 2% going to DSPs Affiperf and TubeMogul. Top destinations were tripadvisor.co.uk, capitalfm.com, metoffice.gov.uk and pprune.org.
