Experience: Wilson hails from telecom company Telstra, where she worked for two and a half years. Before this, she worked for Electronic Arts, the End & AKA, Slice and Band & Brown Communications. She specialises in all things digital, as well as multi-channel, sponsorship, eCommerce and strategy.

Media Spend: In 2015, Thomas Cook spent £19.8m primarily across TV, radio, press and direct mail, will less going towards cinema, outdoor and door drop. H1 of 2016 saw similar spending, with TV and radio gaining the majority. Peak spending occurs in Q1 and Q4.

Digital Breakdown: Thomas Cook, according to Pathmatics, spent over £1.5m on desktop ads that gained 181m impression counts last year. Of those, 75 per cent were placed site direct and top publishing sites included itv.com, youtube.com, telegraph.co.uk and tripadvisor.co.uk.

This is consistent with 2015's £1.3m spending except slightly more was spent on video ads. 239m impressions were gained from just 59 per cent site direct placement.

Competitors: Those making recent marketing moves include Etihad Airways also undergoing leadership shifts.
