Accounts on the Move (Round Up): The Agriculture and Horticulture Boar, Honda, Cheapflights, ECCO...

Below is a weekly compilation (check back next Monday!) of the latest Accounts on the Move. The recap can also be accessed under “Browse by Topic” once it moves off the front page of the site.

**Click on the hyperlinked brand/company/agency names below to view the associated WinmoEdge article.

The Agriculture and Horticulture Board

Agency: AHDB has just revealed that it is searching for an agency to handle its advertising account for pork, which will include raising the profile of pork among 25- to 55-year-olds and highlighting its versatility. Pitches will reportedly take place on 21 and 22 December, with a decision excepted to be made by 06 January. BMB works with AHDB (since 2011) and earlier this year launched an ad called “achieve lazy”; AHDB said it believes this campaign increased sales of fresh pork by £7.8m. We're unsure if BMB is affected by this review.

Contact: Ms. Kirsty Walker, Head of Marketing, Pork, kirsty.walker@ahdb.org.uk

Cheapflights

Agency: On the heels of moving up Global Marketing Director at Cheapflights, Andrew Shelton, up to managing director (after only one year in that role), the company has appointed Forever Beta for a rebrand. Reportedly, this is the first time Cheapflights has appointed a global retained creative agency, and the search lasted nine months, having begun in March. What's more, Goodstuff Communications has taken on the brand's media account on a retained basis, the first of its kind for Cheapflights. Recently-appointed Sam Otter, the global head of customer and marketing expressed that “the time was now right for [Cheapflights] to have a presence in the media which reflects [their] status as a modern, innovative and dynamic digital business.

Honda

Agency: We've just learned that ahead of the NSX supercar launch, Honda has picked up Mcgarrybowen to handle the global campaign that will be unveiled in early 2016. This is just on a project basis, and Wieden & Kennedy, Honda's lead European shop, is unaffected by the appointment.

Agency: Just after its announcement of expansion and the launch of its flagship store on Oxford Street in Sept, ECCO has appointed Ketchum as its sole UK press office agency. The company worked with the agency in preparation for the launch this past summer.
