Decision Maker: The budget organisation is bolstering its team of executives after COO Jim Graham leaves to return to private equity by the end of this year. This takes place just a few months after Noble Foods' Gu Puds hired a marketing boss to create a new strategic direction for the luxury desserts brand.

Decision Maker: While agencies continue to go after Shop Direct brands Very and Littlewoods, take note of the company's recent interest in data science and digital analytics. Shop Direct hired former Lloyds Banking Group, Capital One and Vistaprint executive Gael Decoudu to lead these efforts recently.

Verizon Enterprise Solutions

Decision Maker: Recently promoted John Williams as Verizon Enterprise Solutions' marketing director for the EMEA and LatAM regions. Although an in-house switch might not lead to drastic strategy shifts, agencies should note that Williams will be spearheading all marketing and growth initiatives throughout both regions.

Decision Maker:  Appointed Matt VanDyke as VP of marketing to succeed Gaetano Thorel, who will leave after four years in the role. Working with Ford of Europe boss Jim Farley, former CMO for Ford US, VanDyke will take over European product marketing, consumer research, digital marketing, brand management, commercial, revenue and communication work.

Decision Maker: After the newly-formed co-owned joint venture agreed to make London its new HQ, MAXIS GBN appointed Mauro Dugulin as CEO and more recently hired Patsy Langridge as its CMO.

Lands' End

Decision Maker: Several months after appointing London-based senior brand director Alessandro Carnicella, the company promoted Becky Gebhardt to EVP and CMO to lead all global creative, marketing, integrated customer strategies, campaigns, brand advertising, e-commerce, social media, retail marketing and digital brand marketing activity. 

Her hire comes as Steven Rado, acting MD of Europe and CMO, resigned this May following sluggish sales and a continual loss in market share. The same month he resigned, Anya Mackessy joined as European brand, PR and partnerships manager. Gebhardt will have some help with newly appointed VP, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing and Innovation Mike Zhang and SVP, Multi-Channel Marketing Mike Holahan, both based in the States.
